1. Your Qnap is probably still rescaling artwork for iPeng. It needs to do this because iPeng uses different thumbnail sizes than the Controller. And iPeng does ask the server to create up to 450 of them in a bulk when originally started. Now not having a floating point processor the Qnap can be pretty challenged with this task. It will eventually go away if you don't do "Clear and Rescan" of the database too often (this clears not only the cache in iPeng but also the one on the server side). You could also set (on the server side) "Settings->Advanced->Performance->Arwork resampling" to "resize (faster, lower quality)". 2. This usually happens whenever the WiFi is not up and running when iPeng starts. It will find the players after a while but usually it should be enough to just re-start iPeng.
