I can't really believe that because this thread alone will contain the answer at least several times, e.g. here, it's one of the more common questions WRT iPeng: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?p=465774 After all, the ReadyNAS is not the fastest server around, it's especially bad if it has to re-sample artwork without a floating point processor. You either have to wait until the artwork resampling is done or you have to change that setting mentioned in the post. Please also make sure the communication with the server can go on if it's that slow, e.g. by disabling screen savers or by switching "preserver connection" on. That said: since in your case it doesn't even load _any_ artwork it could as well be something else is slowing your server down, do you have a very long current playlist? BTW: iPeng is NOT expected to know the content of "various artists" in advance, it still gets this from the server. What becomes cached by iPeng is only the artist, albums and genres main lists and artwork is being cached.
