What I intend to do is rewrite the "ReallyPreventStandby" plugin that I did a couple of years ago so that it works with OSX and with Gnome on Fedora and Ubuntu. That will be closer to what you want, I think.
SrvrPowerCtrl is really intended for use on a stand-alone, headless music server. If you're running SBS on a more general purpose machine...i.e. one that you log onto and do interactive things on...then you really need a plugin that is the opposite of SrvrPowerCtrl. I.e. you need a plugin that interacts with the regular power management scheme on your machine. That's what I intend to do with ReallyPreventStandby. In the mean time, though, there is a way to "inhibit" SrvrPowerCtrl's actions. On the SrvrPowerCtrl web page (not the settings page, but rather the web page linked to on SBS's "extras" menu item) you can select the "Block Shutdown/Suspend/etc." item and SrvrPowerCtrl will be inhibited from suspending the server. You can also set these blocks via CLI commands so you can automate this as part of a script.
