I think you have misunderstood what the plugin does. The plugin does not redirect audio - it just make a copy of the audio stream sent to a PC speaker - the copied audio can then be played to SB players. It copies a stream being sent by application to the ALSA device which is PC speaker audio and so there is no plugin to be seen by alsa.
