Well, SqueezePad is already doing that, right? I mean: asking what to do in a popup. Indeed, I don't want that, at least as a default, because I find it too annoying and I want it to be fast. The question is: would it make sense to have that kind of a "soft" party mode? After all, Party Mode even now has a few more configuration options about the behavior. Hence my question: I want to understand what people are looking for. The people I asked before doing the current party mode were pretty much all after a "bulletproof" solution - after all, showing a popup is fine against accidentally hitting something but doesn't help the least against gusts who either don't know what they do or don't care... I believe the "play next" solution you suggested has a few more implications that may be problematic: 1. It changes the default behavior on the server from playing whole albums to playing single tracks - except for these "Apps" where Logitech will always also add a whole album if you use the "add" commands (a horribly inconsistent implementation). This is probably what you want at a party (playing single tracks). 2. As mentioned above it's hard to get consistent. 3. What do you do for items for which there is no "Play Next" (probably also only an issue for "Apps" and some plugins)? -- pippin --- see iPeng, the Squeezebox iPhone remote and *New: iPeng for iPad*, at penguinlovesmusic.com ------------------------------------------------------------------------ pippin's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=13777 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=51929 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
