I think there were problem when softsqueeze was part of a sync group - it would take a long time to start playing and then it would lose sync. I think this was more prevalent when the streams had to be transcoded (e.g. WMA, AAC) into Flac. This sync problem wasn't present on my system before the 7.3.x sync code changes. I think the sync problem was less of an issue when the audio had to be transcoded into MP3 which made me think getting jFlac 1.3 (and then add later fixes) might be helpful. Another problem was mkanet's Sirius issue which I couldn't test as I couldn't use Sirius due to geo restrictions.
