You could be right. It is 2 yrs since I did the testing and I cannot remember details. I did a lot of testing of various scenarios on single and multi core system both Windows and Linux and "ffwd a track" is an obvious scenario that I think I ought to have tested it but I cannot be sure.
However without redoing all the testing I cannot give a definitive answer. I do remember getting a number of deadlock in the "run" procedure (it was easy to make it deadlock and then located with Java console) and spent some time on the routine. I have an vague idea that one of the deadlock causes might be "flush" related possibly that it doesn't return until the flush has completed but I'm not certain. Trying to get around the deadlocks made me feel a rewrite was desirable but I wasn't sure of the causes and felt a rewrite could bring more problems. -- bpa ------------------------------------------------------------------------ bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=62060 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
