Thanks for info bpa/Ralphy. It would be good if there was a single, current "official" version. There seem to be a few versions floating around in several different locations. ;) I'd be happy to supply patches back once I know which version to generate patches against.
As I said, I went off at a bit of a tangent with re-writing the audio package, mostly due to frustration at trying to debug. bpa's patch fixes the deadlock issue while keeping with the "spirit" of the original code. That aside, I have several other changes, silly things in the overall scheme of things, eg. like making sure the app doesn't crash when using a PulseAudio mixer - the gainControl is FloatControl.Type.VOLUME, rather than FloatControl.Type.MASTER_GAIN, which I'll generate individual patches for. I don't think I've ever used SoftSqueeze as part of a sync group. But if you can give me a little more of a pointer/info towards the audio sync issues, I'll take a look. Likewise, it would be good to know about any other outstanding issues (there are 3)?
