Just a thought. Do the SB server settings for file types change anything? Do I need to pick some other options there, or does Whitebear get the flac and use lame to convert? I also noticed an oddity when looking at folders (I forgot to mention this before). The files shown in a named folder are always those of the previous folder. Eg for folders 1, 2 and 3, select 3 and get the files in 2, select 2 get 1, select 1 and get nothing. This doesn't happen with other media servers (and I just double-checked since it seems so odd). I do appreciate the efforts you & others put into these free add-ons. If looking at this issue is not worth it for you, just say so - I won't mind a bit. I'm also trying other options, not least using foobar2000 on top of whitebear (that nearly works, but although I can see all files, none of them, of any type play).
