thanks again for all your suggestions and examples! I think I will
stick to just setting a block on server wake-up, otherwise I would have
to maintain the schedule in 2 places. It may skip 1 hibernation cycle
before it is back to the official schedule, but that isn't too
horrible. 

I do have one more question/request: is it possible/it would be nice to
have two levels in the blocking: a hard block that stops all plugin
activity and a soft block that only stops automated work, but still
allows the user to override by manually selecting from the menu.
Reason: if I set the schedule for weekends to wake +block in morning
and unblock (+ idle monitoring) in the evening, I can not shut down the
server if I leave in the morning and I know I won't come back for the
day. Otherwise, I would have to run upstairs, battle the armed guards
and pull the plug.
