You've presented the best case for a two-tiered block system: level 1 to block just the system idle monitor and level 2 to block that plus srvrpowerctrl user requests too.
But how to do this? Add a whole parallel SetSoftBlock-IsSoftBlocked-ClearSoftBlock system? I mean, this is entirely doable...but is it worth it? As it stands, if the account under which Squeezeboxserver runs has full permissions to the block file, then you can clear the block file from either the SrvrPowerCtrl webUI page (click on the 'Clear Block' menu entry) or via the CLI with a: srvrpowerctrl clearblock blockfile viacli ..and this same mechanism works for clearing SrvrPowerCtrl's cli initiated 'memory' blocks too. So there already exists two mechanisms whereby you can clear blocks: the webUI and the CLI. Is that too much of a hurdle to clear before suspending the server and dashing out the door? -- gharris999 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ gharris999's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=115 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=48521 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
