Check what music format your client software is trying to send to the Squeezeplayer; is it pcm, or mp3 or some other format? The players can handle aac, mp3, flac and wma natively, and also wav and pcm via Whitebear's proxy transcoder. Most clients have settings whereby you can force them to deliver mp3 or pcm by transcoding the original music format; as a first step I suggest to set your client to force it to transcode to mp3; this is the lowest common denominator, and once you get it working with that, you can experiment with settings that delivery better quality audio.
