Yes, the remote control events are only defined in iOS 4, in iOS3 this
probably only works if you use the built-in music player.

I don't know, it should be enough to start the playback once on the
device.
The problem is, that iOS sends to the App it deems the "playing" App.
Until iPeng starts to play the first time, this will be the built-in
iPod App.

I'll have to see whether I can do something about this. Maybe iPeng
could just start playback with a silent track when it's first being
started but then this would disable any playback through the iPod
App.... not so easy..

Also, it can definitely not work whenever iPeng is in the background
and playback has been off for longer, iPeng then stops to run in the
background, everything else would just consume too much power.
