Agreed.  However, it is important to know that such settings can (but
may not) make matters worse, and if at all possible one should use a
setting that includes autonegotiation.  I believe (but can't prove)
that on systems where there is no separate option, autonegotiation is
included all the time.

What is still very puzzling is why some systems have problems with
wavin using flac transmission, but not playing other flacs.  This is
true for rrand as well me. (I managed to get myself into an additional
but separate set of problems by sending flacs from my library in PCM
format.)

Could the wavin problem be related to some form of duplex handling
issue - receiving over the internet and sending out to the
Boom/Touch/whatever at the same time?

rrand - what is your music source when using wavin?
