If the server is running well, no. But if the server is not keeping the
players stable, keeps scanning or is otherwise blocked, this has an
impact on iPeng, too.
SBS 7.6 is also generally much faster on slow servers, especially when
processing artwork or album queries.

I don't know. If players keep disconnecting this isn't really an iPeng
issue. It's a server issue and a serious one. I've seen it on all kind
of servers in 7.5 so it's not performance related.
The only iPeng issue around it is that iPeng tends to crash
infrequently when players disconnect and immediately reconnect. But
even an infrequent crash can be quite annoying when the trigger causing
it happens a lot.

It shouldn't unless iPeng is adding a lot of load to the server, e.g.
because it's frequently caching (because the server keeps rescanning)
or causes a lot of load for artwork handling (see the FAQ on
penguinlovesmusic.com for details). The latter should be fixed in 7.6
