Are you sure the random is only used as last resort, or might there be an odd situation where the plugin uses random to choose from the returned results? Because when the "repeating seed song" happened, I could see in the logs that a huge list of songs had been returned, and it's unlikely they had all been played before... Logs are gone, but I'll keep an eye on that.
