Hey gang,

Newbie here, looking for some advice. I'm trying to modify an existing
Weather applet to tweak the info displayed for personal use
(Weather-Screensafer.) Problem is, after tweaking the .lua file,
re-zipping the archive, and placing it on my own web server along with a
new repo.xml file pointing to the new location, the SB Touch won't load
the app. It shows up in the Applet install menu, and will download the
file and reboot, but after the reboot there is no trace of the app and
the listing in the applet install menu now displays "reinstall."

After a bunch of troubleshooting, I figured out that I can't even load
the original app from my own web server. In other words, I downloaded
the original .xml and .zip files from the developer's repository,
modified the .xml to point to my web site instead, and uploaded the
files to my web site (with the original .zip untouched.) Again, the
applet shows up in the install menu, but again, it won't install
completely (even though the .zip is the original, which WILL load if I
pull it from the dev's repository directly using the applet install on
the SB.) It does download the app, but after a reboot, it's not
installed. So I don't think it's a problem with my modifications of the
app, but something related to how the SB Touch sees the repository.

What's going on? How do I get this customized app to load from my own
web server?

Thanks,
r
