Because I didn't know I could just SCP the file! Hence my Newbie title :) Once I figure out how I'll try that too, but I don't know if it'll make any difference. The SB Touch seems to get the file just fine via my overly-complicated process, but it just won't install successfully. @Erland, the repository XML is an exact copy of the original, except for: 1) I changed the URL to point to my web site, which the SB touch can reach successfully, and 2) I did modify the SHA element based on a new SHA-1 hash I calculated for the new .zip. But, the fact that it won't load even with the original .zip and .xml is an indicator that that is not the issue.
