Thanks for the redirect, Michael. I used SCP to get into the Squeezebox. Interestingly, all the folders were there for each of my iterations of the app that I had tried to load, so it appears my "long way" was successful in at least getting the app on the unit. Why it wouldn't run, I don't know. I ended up just replacing the existing .lua file for the working copy of the applet with my new .lua, and it worked fine.
