Because I didn't know I could just SCP the file! Hence my Newbie title :) Once I figure out how I'll try that too, but I don't know if it'll make any difference. The SB Touch seems to get the file just fine via my overly-complicated process, but it just won't install successfully.
The nice thing about using ssh/scp is that you can monitor the log file as applets are being loaded etc.
