The C drive is not open UNLESS somebody hacks your Squeezebox Server.
No idea how big a risk that is, haven't heard of any cases but the
username/password protection is definitely VERY insecure. But if you've
got that you only have access to the server and can change it's
configuration. You probably could inject other code using the plugin
interface if you wanted to but that would be work.
Let's say: it's not something a virus would do but if somebody is
_really_ after you, it's a pretty open door.

Generally, yes, but you can't configure a DNS name in the radio, you
will have to use the IP address there which is probably changing on a
daily basis.
