Ah, yes multi servers with different versions would definitely be
problematic, but I first tried it with one server on 7.5.4 and the other
on 7.7.2 and it still worked. I guess if the versions are close enough
it may be ok.

I just couldn't see another way of getting player lists from an
arbitrary number of servers without using to much resources.... I guess
I could use jsonrpc to poll every discovered server, but doing that much
polling just seems excessive.

Right after registration, MySB forces a reconnect in the background and
maybe that reconnect failed, I'm sure you know mysb can be a little
flaky.  When you then turned off local server, the app first disconnects
from both servers and then reconnected to mysb.
