I use WaveInput 1.04 on an Xubuntu server to pipe satellite radio over my LAN and the stream terminating after NNN time proves somewhat annoying. Dug around through the plugin code but according to my pristine custom-convert.conf all arecord commands get the -d0 option and should not terminate. Don't know for sure but I'm probably using MP3 streaming to minimize changes at my clients' ends. I also notice that my arecord MP3 command uses the -twav option. Do you think that the WAV header limits are responsible for my stream dying? Does anybody know of a quick fix to allow indefinite WaveInput streaming over MP3?
