Hi all, 'Test SQLite Connection' results in a 'Connection Failed: Some kind of Disk I/O error occurred'
I have read every post in this forum, and the fact that nobody seems to have the same problem as I have, makes me feel rather stupid... However, please hear me out: In order to locate the Database file, (which in my case resides on a QNAP NAS), I have to share out it's location which is: /share/HDA_DATA/.qpkg/LogitechMediaServer/var/home/SqueezeboxServer/Cache/ Now, how is that done? I have tried several ways, but it seems the only way to do it properly, is to install Samba on my server and tweak its cfg files (?). Now, I do not want to install Samba unless this is absolutely the only way to share out a folder. If I instead create a new share on the server, and call it i.e. Muso, I have found no way to make it point (link) to my db folder. So what I did was to create a dummy link which I named 'Test' inside the Muso shared folder and made it point (link) to the db folder. Consequently, the path ended up being \\NAS\Muso\Test\ which will take me to the db folder where my library.db file resides (along with all the rest). Still, I get the Disk I/O error message. So, after reading this forum, I changed the permissions for the whole folder and everything in it to 'Full Control' for everyone. But that didn't help either. So, what can still be wrong? Please help...
