I don't think the wma files are an issue as they always play fine.  As I
mentioned when the issue pops up, I can play the music files fine, but
the playlist screen only displays the last list played before the issue
started and the controls at the top (play, pause) don't work (rebooting
iPeng fixes the issue).

My "server" is a PC laptop running Windows Vista SP2 and LMS.

I don't know anything about "bitrate limiting" in iPeng.  I haven't
changed any settings in iPeng since downloading it, so I'm assuming it's
using whatever is the default settings.

I appreciate your effort to figure out this mystery.  :)

I wish I were a bit more computer savvy so I could provide better/more
concise info for you.  :o
