They are not excluded from the gallery list, they are just put with the compilations. "Various Artists" is the most commonly used tag to denote compilations (rightly or wrongly), so Muso just assumes that's what they are - no you are right this doesn't work for all languages. Many of my albums have the Artist or Album Artist tag set to "Various Artists", others have the Compilation flag set (which is more correct), others just leave the Artist field blank but have a common album name in the same folder - I just find it useful for Muso to assume all these are compilations and put them all together, rather than have to re-tag them all.
