Michael. I have a query. Whenever I do a scan for updated and changed files my NAS (which is running the latest 7.9) seems to insist on rescannign the artist pictures from scratch. Should it be doing that?
It's not doing the import from scratch. But there's no easy way to figure out whether a picture has changed or was new, other than going through the whole list. After all the scanner doesn't know whether you only added an album, or whether you edited all artist images. It first has to find out. And that's not easily done with the artist pictures, as it's not in the core of the database.
