I find it strange that you get rebuffering with both BBC iPlayer and Extras since the iPlayer plugin will be using HLS and the Extras will be using RTMP - quite different protocols and I would have thought behave differently (i.e. RTMP should not be affected by the HLS DNS issue) unless the issue related to common processing such as AAC transcoding.
