Can you let us know what the tweaks are?

I've always had problems with the BBC streams stopping since the change
to HLS despite everything else including Qobuz streaming without a
hitch. Tried the different CDN, stream quality, and I still get
drop-outs. At the weekend I installed Minimstreamer and ran a
simultaneous stream of Radio 2 via Minimstreamer to the uPnP player and
via the iPlayer plugin to the Touch and Radio. The aim of the test was
to see if the Minimstreamer way of handling the HLS stream is more
robust than the LMS way.

As luck would have it, or not have it for the sake of my experiment, the
streams kept continuously working for over 24 hours and 12 hours without
dropping out so that was inconclusive.

I haven't been running Minimstreamer during the week but I have kept the
Radio and Touch streaming Radio 2 and dropouts are re-occuring
frequently so I may run another simultaneous test.

Reading through the Minimstreamer forum it would appear that tweaks have
been made in order to make the stream more robust so your work is
probably on the right lines.
