Yes, as expected the UK log you've just posted doesn't get past first base on the playlist file. I think quite a few have reported transcoding is fine on the V1 Pi - at least for one stream at a time. The bitrate doesn't make much difference to the load. I've got a few Pis here, but don't use them for LMS. It would probably be ok with server and player on the same pi though, if you aren't trying to play multiple BBC streams at once. A Pi v2 should give quite a bit more headroom - only mentioned the B+ because it is being discounted.
