That is a good question. There are several differences with On Demand - the chunks of audio are 10 seconds long rather than 6.4 seconds long, the bit rate will be different (I'm not sure what the non-uk On Demand bit rate is, but I think it is less than the 96KB/s that I think is delivered for Live) and the plugin itself handles the initial burst of chunks a little differently. All of these will affect the characteristics of the initial burst of data that is shovelled into the socketwrapper for transcoding, and my guess is that that is different enough for the transcoding to survive. I suppose a simple next step in the investigation could be to look at the debug log for the working On Demand streams to see if there are any more clues there. But I think that the answer will only be found by looking at (and understanding!) debug from socketwrapper itself, which bpa says only goes to the console, so LMS needs to be run from the console command line to capture that. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ utgg's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=40900 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=53229 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
