Looking at the log, here is what I see

[22:57:31.584] AVTSetURI:130 uPNP setURI
http://192.168.1.4:49156/LMS2UPNP/00-09-b0-cb-0f-57-idx-1.mp3 for

squeeze2upnp tells the Onkyo where to find the URI (file to play':
(192.168.1.4:49156)

request to play from squeeze2upnp to the Onkyo

all data sent by LMS have been buffered by squeeze2upnp, all good

24 seconds later, the Onkyo says that it cannot find the URI to play

Sorry to insist but it is precisely what happens with a firewall
problem. Squeeze2upnp has a webserver opened on port 49156 where the
'file to play' is available to be retrieved with HTTP request. But I
never see a request and the Onkyop complains that he never finds the URI
(== gets and answer). Really really looks like firewall is blocking

NB: BTW, normally default port is 49152, and if 49156 has been chose, it
means that 49152...49155 are taken, which is very strange - have you try
rebooting the machine runninf squeeze2upnp ? with the different issues
you had, I think that would be a 'sane 'start
