You should not worry too much about flac->pcm encoding, this is fully lossless. A bit more bandwidth hungry, but as everything is local to the same PC, this is really not a problem. The extra CPU does not matter as the flac->pcm decoding will happen anyway on that PC, either in LMS or in JRiver LMS 7.7.2 - 5 radio, 3 Boom, 4 Duet, 1 Touch, 1 SB2.
