I'm not sure I know much about the missing pieces in Win serevr core, but if you decide to try squeezelite, the whole setup is made from LMS, you don't need to do anything outside of it. Go to plugins, select 'local player' and upon LMS restarts, squeezelite should start as well. Then you can select the audio output you want to use and this is where, if one is missing, you might be willing to use Ralphy's build LMS 7.7.2 - 5 radio, 3 Boom, 4 Duet, 1 Touch, 1 SB2.
