This is an interesting topic . One would expect Tidal who offers themself as a "hifi" service to curate their content IE keep well mastered versions and make it easy for us to differentiate .
Getting the rigth version triumphs all thier other efforts . It does not matter if it's 320k MP3 CD quality flac or *sigh* hirez if it's a dud version . But as usual they market the bit container as the great solution . Kind of blue :) how many versions are we at now ? In general I can't find the time and effort to actually find all the *best* versions of everything . I would gladly join a hifi streaming service that did exactly that ,,curated thier content to get the best sounding versions . The record companies themself can obviously not be trusted , they want thier latest loudness war master online... -------------------------------------------------------------------- Main hifi: Touch + CIA PS +MeridianG68J MeridianHD621 MeridianG98DH 2 x MeridianDSP5200 MeridianDSP5200HC 2 xMeridianDSP3100 +Rel Stadium 3 sub.
