They have been getting closer to DASH for 2 years but the BBC still have to make some hard decisions (and then develope and test as required) about how to handle the existing programs in non DASH formats (none of their apps or web player handle more than one format concurrently - unlike the BBCiPlayer plugin !) and will they keep streams such as as MP3 or HLS for existing hardware.
