In preparation for this, I completely shutdown my server and restarted, so I was sure I had a "clean" scenario from which I'd be providing logs. Since then, it's all worked flawlessly with my FLAC and MP3 files, so I can only assume something unrelated was causing my issue. So, am very happy indeed now.
