Could this plugin be used for line-in audio rather than just audio coming from the alsa output of the system?
My idea: I run my squeezebox server as a vortexbox VM, I would like to buy a simple USB soundcard with microphone/line-in and pass this USB device through to my vortexbox VM. Could I then plug in a chromecast audio into this USB soundcard and using this plugin pipe the audio input gotten from the chromecast to my Squeezebox Boom and squeezelite players around my house? I currently just have my chromecast audio connected to the line-in of the Boom, but I would like more!! If possible, any recommendations for cheap(ish) usb sound cards with sterio line-in?
