Understood now. Yes, this is probably the possibility for squeezelite, once it has decoded the audio, to have alsaequal process it before D/A. But sq2u is very different. I borrowed from squeezelite the "LMS side of it" but not the audio decoding or hardware handling, all that has been replaced by the bridging capability. BTW, where I stayed closer to squeezelite was for the AirPlay bridge as here I kept all the decoding/resampling function, although all had to be heavily modified to support multiple players in a single application.
