If you re-order the codecs to be aif, flc, pcm, mp3 then flac should be
preferred to pcm whenever flc format at that rate is supported by the
Sonos.  Since you have pcm before flc, pcm is used when the Sonos says
it supports that pcm rate.

(or at least I think so!)

Alternatively Minimserver & Upplay to same & to upmpdcli/mpd PC
renderers.  
Squeezelite to Meridian USB Explorer DAC to PC speakers/headphones.  
Wireless Xubuntu 15.10 laptop firefox/upplay or Android 'phone with
Squeeze-Commander/BubbleUPnP controls LMS/Minimserver.  
Also a Touch with EDO, plus spare, unused.
