A-ha... yes... you're totally correct. I've just swapped them round and now I can see that all 3 files are transcoded using sox (even when it's already in a supported format). I didn't realise that was a priority-ordered list but it makes perfect sense now you've explained it. So you know what my next question is going to be :D Does it make more sense for me to revert it back to PCM first (i.e. the processing chain is FLAC --> PCM --> Sonos with a larger file being sent across network) or give FLC priority so that the chain is FLAC --> SOX --> FLAC --> Sonos (i.e. smaller file being sent across network but more work with the transcoding)? At the end of the day, if I'm not seeing any dropouts then I guess it really doesn't matter? Thanks again for the explanation (and putting up with my pointless questions about something that's already working!) ------------------------------------------------------------------------ FatPete's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=64294 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=103728 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
