Kamran:
you got it in reverse. Mathematical 'functions' (and numbers) are human
artifacts of our mind-work (David Bohm) and "WE" think (assume) that nature is
built the way WE can imagine it.
I am sorry for you if you build your love from math functions.
I am not a Buddhist, I don't accept any kind of imagined fairy-tails, religious
stories (including mathematical ones) I rather confess that we did not yet (?)
attain the level of wisdom to discover the 'origins' of what we are part of.
Believing hearsay even mathematical one, does not help.

I agree with your statement:
"...mathematical functions are evidence of a mental platform."
in the sense that our mind works this way.
Do you have a way to arrive from 'numbers' at 'non-numbers'?
E.g. at a validity (or not) of a legal proposition? Or the at the idea of a
"phisical world"? There is a trend (e.g. 'Everything List', check for Bruno
Marchal) to assign the totality to 'numbers' - to computational factors, - way
more advanced than our current primitive (embryonic level?) digital
contraptions - (see: e.g. 'Loebian Machine') but it is not (yet?) convincing,
even if I keep an open mind about it.

  Suranee,

Absolutely no apologies are needed or expected. It appears that I may have
misunderstood your personal position on this. My answer, however, would
still apply to the case of your Buddhist compatriots who as you say do not
believe in a Creator (or God). The point is that the elephant (excuse the
metaphor) is in the room whether they want to open their eyes or keep them
shut. Everything in existence is built around mathematical functions and
mathematical functions are evidence of a mental platform. Thus we are
literally expressions of thought formed in a Grand Mind that is the Creator.
