Hi, The Via header is off by default in polipo.
I was wondering if the http servers use Via as an indication that there is a proxy between itself and the client and thus affect the cache control header in the responds. I experience a few instances where the people get someone else's i-google front page. I did a cross compare between traffic polipo-google v.s. squid-google. The google respond to squid contents "no-cache" and "no-store", but not to polipo.The only header I think that made the difference is squid sends out the Via header.
