This did not sound good, but wasn't anger one of the stages of grief?
Frances thought it was, but something told her it came later.  During her
medical training she was forced to take a few psychology classes, but when
your career ambitions are forensics you really don't have to worry about all
that bedside manner stuff.  "Did you notice anything odd here last night?
Any strange noises, anything out of place?"
