"I knew you'd say something like that."
Looks over at where Julia motioned to then looks back at her.
"Yeah, drinks, so?"
<< Kat burst into a fit of giggles this time. "Maybe, but I've seen him eat
it b'fore." She glanced up at Nick still giggling, "I like her just like she
is," she announced and she really did like her. She wondered if Miranda
would too. "Julia," Kat said catching her breath. "Can I ask you something?"
Julia smiled around another bite of pizza as Nick joined them and she
swallowed looking for something to wash it down, her answer slipping out
before she caught herself and smiled sheepishly, hoping Kat would let her
slide this time "Sure sweetie... whatcha wanna know?"
Sweetie. She just called the girl sweetie. Not that Kat didn't resemble it
but the term was on a personal level and something most people waited a while
to use. She didn't know why but, maybe it was the initial reason as to why
Kat came to be in the house and Julia's own role in it, but she did feel
close to the girl. She wasn't going to question why though.
She looked at Nick and motioned for one of the ready made drinks someone had
set out on the nearby coffee table as she waited for Kat's question "Please?"
