"Okay," Kat agreed moving to the couch and climbing up on it to sit Indian style.  "You're right," she said after a little thought.  "He does get grumpy, that's kind of scary sometimes, when he's really grumpy.  He was acting sort of like that this afternoon."  She smiled up at Nick,  "But Nick can protect us if he gets real upset.  Do we have to wait for my mom to start talking about stuff?"     Julia grinned at what Kat said and lightly hopped onto the couch to sit in the same position, at the same time giving the situation at hand the seriousness it deserved.  She nodded at her question with a thoughtful expression "Yeah, it's probably best that we do wait.  Mom's are real protective of their kids... and she'd want to be with you anyway.  And I'm not sure if I have all of the answers either.... but I'll answer what I can."
