<<Lucy
She watched the exchange between Fawkes and the kid with interest,
allowing her the little jibe without a word but sighing with irritation
at the end. Most certainly, this haden't been a perfect day, and now
this. Lucy looked her over again with a cocked eyebrow and considered
just letting Darien handle the entire thing. Perhaps they could cut out
on her, just find someone with a little more....Age? Esteem? All of the
above? Finally she stepped between the two, attempting to draw Jamie's
attention. Once between them, however, she turned herself to Darien.
"Exactly why are we meeting with her again, please?" She inquired in a
whisper, though sure the girl probably heard. Turning back to Jamie, Lucy
locked her eyes onto the girl's in a cynical glare. "I don't suppose
you've heard of the Luna Foundation?" She didn't wait for the response,
regardless of the answer. "No?" Automatically, she removed a cigarette
from her pocket, lighting it and relishing the feeling for a moment.
"Artifacts, quite priceless actually." >>

Jamie
As she whispered to the guy I felt my anger rising fast, come on kid, don't
loose it now, I told myself sternly. I'd heard of the Luna Foundation, but I
was dammed if I was going to give it up to this stuffed shirt! There was
stuff that got talked about on the streets, that they knew stuff...about
people like me. "Seems to me that you only need me for one reason," I told
the couple with a hint of a challenge. "You don't want to get your manicure
ruined...but that's fine, I don't mind getting my hands dirty...for the
right cause." I wanted to know more about these artefacts, it was a museum
or something as well as all the weird shit I'd heard. I looked up at Darien,
he'd been pretty quiet seeing as how he was the one who got me here. "So
this is about money?" I asked him as I felt the first dull throb of a
headache starting behind my temples. Oh hell, not now...please not now, I
needed to think clearly, I didn't need that kind of distraction. My hand
flitted to my knife, more for comfort than any desire to play.>>

--Darien--
Darien sighed and shook his head. How many times was Lucy going to ask that
same tired question? He already answered her twice on the way here and this
time he wasn't going to give her the same answer all she was going to get
was. "Because..." That was a good enough answer even if it was just a one
worded answer but oh well. When Lucy turned her attention back onto Jamie so
did he. Darien couldn't help but chuckle at Jamie's reason on why she was
called on. In a minute or two he'd probably get elbowed or get the same dirty
looks that he was use to from Lucy. "I might be." He replied. "Although this
wasn't exactly my idea. Lucy came up with the idea of going to this Luna
Foundation and taking whatever we can get our hands on. But I'm guessing they
might have something that she wants." He didn't even know what the hell the
Luna Foundation was until Lucy mentioned it before they ditched San Diego.
For a while there he was calling it the Loony Foundation...it sounded
better...hahaha! Of course he stopped when it finally pissed of Luc.
