I nodded, "ok, I'll be in touch," I replied. "Take care Derek," I told him
with feeling before hanging up the phone. I could here Nick's voice and
followed it, seeing him talking on his cell I moved to his side, slipping my
arm around him and resting my chin on his shoulder as he spoke. Talking to
Derek had made all this seem more real somehow, more threatening. I needed
the comfort he offered.
