Derek entered the room and surveyed it closely.  "We do have elctricity you
know," he informed his friend as he folder his arms across his chest.

He wasn't sure how to proceed with the next subject, so he just dove right
in.  "Julia tells me that your daughter has an unusual gift.  She'd like to
go with you tomorrow and discuss it with her, if that's all right with you."
