Derek:
The precept was not thrilled with any of the things he was hearing. Though
if Ria had made it back to the ferry landing she must be all right. He was
just concerned about what Alex told him. What if Lyons was the threat she
had mentioned. He would have told her to Leave Kat with him, but it looked
as though he and Milo would be talking for quite awhile and some of what
might be said she certainly shouldn't hear. His eyes locked with Julia when
she gave him that questioning look. He shook his head very slightly. The
few people who knew her true nature the better.
He sighed inwardly and pulled his keys out of his pocket tossing them to
Julia. He couldn't wrap everyonein blubble wrap no matter how much he
wanted that. "Don't stay down there long," he advised. His gaze remaining
on her until she disappeared beyond the door.
After she left he turned back to Milo. "I thought you knew me better than
this Milo," he said seriously. "We just want to help your daughter learn to
manage something that could run out of control like a frieght train, if
given the proper circumstances. It could consume her and everyone in her
path." He knew Milo wanted and explaination of how he knew this, so he
decided to give him one, even if it was a slight fabrication. "Julia has
the Sight," he said.
